Next year, whoever the opponent, will be one of the biggest British fights ever, and if he wins that he is into the legendary category.

That ridiculous statement msde me laugh as well.

Heavyweight boxing is a very poor division at present , if Fury gets his act together and his head right he could cause mayhem hes a very very awkward customer

And this is exactly the type of mug that follows 'AJ' (cringe). It's embarrassing really, heavyweight boxing has never been worse than it is now when the likes of Joshua and Fury are considered the best around. Both would have got murdered and be working in McDonalds having retired after being mercilessly beaten up 15 times in almost any other era.
The rise of homoerotic sports like MMA are further proof that heavyweight boxing is in a poor state.

Re: Joshua V Short Russian
just 22 pro fights, seven for world titles and still cunts dig him out. hide was ordinary and frank needed to fight a washed up mccall before he could win a title, and i love bruno. aj deserves far more credit

Re: Joshua V Short Russian
Fuck off, AJ can only beat whats in front of him and he won again. decent bloke, good fighter.

Re: Joshua V Short Russian
You cunts have got to realise the Russian was no mug, AJ had his troubles early doors but bossed it from 4 onwards.

Re: Joshua V Short Russian
Good fight but a 39 year old past it small heavyweight giving him that much trouble just shows what a really weak Heavyweight era this is. Bruno even likes of Herbie Hide would have beaten AJ let alone the killers like Lewis,Tyson, Bowe and Holyfield.

Good fight that. Thought Joshua was gonna lose after the first couple of rounds, impressive.

Re: Joshua V Short Russian
An emphatic win by Joshua he can now sit back and await the result of the Wilder/Fury slap and cuddle fest before he trains to meet the winner.

no one's ever said he's a lewis/tyson hybrid, just you you cunt :.)

Vexed, you sure not mixing AJ up with “Harry” Frank Bruno. They are both dark, one is a bit of a boxer and mobile, the other ain’t.
Can you work it outt?

Or maybe he just happens to be a very decent bloke. Considering he didn't even pick up the sport until he was nineteen, what he has achieved is remarkable.

Re: Joshua V Short Russian
I had my doubts about Joshua in his early fights, even up to Klitschko. But anyone who doesn't think that was a mightily impressive performance in a proper fight does not understand boxing. Being on Joshua's side, I was genuinely worried after the first 2/3 rounds. Make no mistake, he has come through serious test tonight. Next year, whoever the opponent, will be one of the biggest British fights ever, and if he wins that he is into the legendary category.

Re: Joshua V Short Russian
A fully fit fury will give Joshua untold trouble.

He's a very likeable bloke Joshua but he's far from being invincible.

If Klitschko was a few years younger hed have beaten him hands down

Vexed 12:54 Sun Sep 23
Re: Joshua V Short Russian
I dont like Joshua. I dont like the 'please like me' cliched shit that comes out of his mouth. I don't like the fact he's just a physical specimen and boxing is secondary. I dont like that heavyweight boxing is in such a poor state it allows him to get away this shit and people talk about him like he's some sort of Lennox Lewis/Mike Tyson amalgamation. He's not, he's a tedious robotic cunt and anyone that pays to see this clown needs a slap.

Re: Joshua V Short Russian
Yep. The Russian was 4-2 ahead. But then he got knocked out. That's a fantastic result against a good boxer who punches hard.

zebthecat 12:37 Sun Sep 23
Re: Joshua V Short Russian
No way was Joshua ahead, 4-2 Povetkin at best
